Nature Conservation

Sum where 2+2=5

The sense of working together, working at four hands, seeking partnerships, adding synergistically, all this is naturally in the DNA of the Soka Amazon Institute.

Identifying and geo-referencing mother trees wherever they are, many times in the middle of the forest, other times even in urban areas in the city of Manaus itself; collecting their seeds; treating them; producing seedlings that will be planted within one of the many projects that the Institute carries out or in which it participates in association with companies or other entities.

In our understanding of Nature Conservation, planting trees is very important but it is not everything.

We plant them in great numbers, not just for the sake of planting, but for the way the trees are planted, always with a purpose, to give meaning to our many projects subordinated to very well-defined goals.

The complex Brazilian legislation

In the execution of these projects, we respect the complex but necessary Brazilian legislation and at the same time we always take into consideration the concepts brought by the Earth Charter and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN, United Nations Organization, and the Peace Proposals of SGI.

At the core of each of these projects is the goal of changing atitudes, for the better, the not always correct, but unfortunately prevalent, attitudes towards environmental preservation.
